Description | Basement membrane is a layer of stromal membrane on the basal surface of epithelial cells in animals. Organogel is a Matrigel formed by basement membrane components extracted from mouse tumor tissues. The main components of the Matrigel are laminin, collagen IV, heparan sulfateproteoglycans (Kleinman et al. 1986). At the same time, the Matrigel also contains a variety of growth factors, such as epidermal growth factor EFG, platelet-derived growth factor PDGF, nerve growth factor NGF, basic fibroblast growth factor FGF-2, transforming growth factor beta B, and insulin-like growth factor ilgf (vukicevic etal 1992) |
General Notes | The temperature of the Matrigel is higher than 10 deg; C will start to solidify into glue, so try to operate the Matrigel on ice. In order to avoid the influence of enzyme on organoids, 4-deg can be used directly when organoids are passaged; C precooled basal medium can release organoids from Matrigel by blowing Matrigel slowly |
Application | This product is mainly suitable for tumor formation experiments in mice. It can be used for gene expression research that needs to exclude interference from growth factors. |
Storage Temp. | It is suggested that users should separate the products according to the single dosage after the first melting, -80° C refrigerator, 2 years |
