Background
Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) is a ubiquitous second messenger that plays a fundamental role in transducing extracellular signals into intracellular physiological responses. It is synthesized from ATP by adenylyl cyclase enzymes upon activation of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and is degraded by phosphodiesterases (PDEs). The intracellular levels of cAMP directly regulate critical cellular processes, including metabolism, gene transcription, ion channel activity, cell proliferation, and apoptosis, primarily through the activation of protein kinase A (PKA) and the Exchange Protein directly Activated by cAMP (EPAC).

The concentrations of cAMP were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
#1 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human serum was 5fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 824.62 pmoL/mL in human serum.
#2 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human plasma was 5fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 1014.14 pmoL/mL in human plasma.
