TR-FRET: The Gold Standard for Homogeneous Assays
Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (TR-FRET) pairs a long-lifetime lanthanide donor with a fluorescent acceptor. Signal is generated only when the two labels are brought together by a biological event, while time-resolved detection gates out short-lived background fluorescence — the result is exceptionally clean, reliable data.
