FAQs
How are antibody products reconstituted and stored?
1) Reconstitute the protein according to the reconstitution information recommended in the product manual. If the protein is not used temporarily, it is recommended to store it in the form of lyophilized powder. 2) It is recommended to store it at the reconstitution concentration. If the concentration used is lower than the recommended reconstitution concentration, it can be further diluted for use based on the reconstitution concentration; if the concentration used is higher than the recommended reconstitution concentration, it can be reconstituted according to the recommended concentration and then concentrated to the required concentration.
How is the product stored and can it be repacked?
Antibodies should be stored at -20°C and should not be aliquoted, as aliquoting may introduce variables into the antibody system and cause antibody waste. The antibody solution contains 50% glycerol, so it will not freeze at the recommended storage temperature, thus avoiding antibody degradation caused by repeated freezing and thawing.
How does Start ensure the quality of antibodies?
Startech scientists test antibody products from multiple applications, such as WB, IHC, FC, etc. If an antibody is recommended for a certain application, it means that the antibody has shown specificity in the application and meets QC requirements. If an application you are interested in is not listed on the product webpage, you can contact Startech technical support for more information.
How does Starter ensure the consistency of antibody quality across batches?
Startech scientists are committed to ensuring the consistency of different batches of products. We routinely perform parallel validation of new products with old products to ensure the consistency of antibody activity between different batches.
