Background
Luteinizing hormone (LH), a heterodimeric glycoprotein secreted by the pituitary gland, acts on the gonads to regulate development and reproduction. In humans of reproductive age, it plays a central role in follicular development and spermatogenesis, stimulating steroid hormone production and mediating proliferative signals. LH acts on a G-protein coupled receptor (LHCGR), which it shares with the pregnancy hormone human choriogonadotropin (hCG), and has specific intracellular signaling and physiological functions.

Linearity
The concentrations of Human LH were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
S#1 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human serum was 30fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 12.01 mIU/mL in human serum.
P#1 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human plasma -Citrate was 20fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 18.57mIU/mL in human plasma-Citrate.
P#2 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human plasma-EDTA was 30fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 12.15mIU/mL in human plasma-EDTA.
