Background
This antibody recognizes the same epitope as clone RB6-8C5.It recognizes strongly with mouse Ly6G and weakly with mouse Ly6C. Ly-6G protein is a GPI (glycosylphosphatidylinositol)-anchored protein. Ly6G is primarily expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and T cells. It plays a crucial role in inhibiting antitumor efficacy and Tcell responses. Due to its specific expression on neutrophils, Ly6G has been widely used as a surface marker in flow cytometry, cell sorting, and immune phenotyping experiments. Unique expression of Ly6G in bone marrow indicates its involvement in hematopoietic microenvironment, potentially regulating the development or function of immune cells within the bone marrow niche.
