Background
This antibody recognizes the same epitope as clone RB6-8C5. Ly-6G protein is a GPI (glycosylphosphatidylinositol)-anchored protein. Ly-6G is primarily expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and T cells. It plays a crucial role in inhibiting anti-tumor efficacy and T-cell responses. Due to its specific expression on neutrophils, Ly-6G has been widely used as a surface marker in flow cytometry, cell sorting, and immune phenotyping experiments. Unique expression of Ly-6G in bone marrow indicates its involvement in hematopoietic microenvironment, potentially regulating the development or function of immune cells within the bone marrow niche.
