Background
Homeobox protein Nkx-6.1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NKX6-1 gene [PMID: 9119408]. Homeobox protein NKX6.1 is a transcription factor (TF) that plays a critical role in pancreatic β cell function and proliferation. In human pancreatic islet, NKX6.1 expression is exclusive to β cells and is undetectable in other islet cells [PMID: 33121533].

Immunohistochemistry
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded mouse pancreas. Anti-NKX6.1 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IF staining protocol.
