Background
FSP1 (Ferroptosis Suppressor Protein 1), also known as AIFM2, is a plasma membrane-localized NAD(P)H-dependent oxidoreductase. Studies have shown that the expression level of FSP1 is positively correlated with the resistance of cancer cells to ferroptosis inducers (such as the GPX4 inhibitor RSL3). This feature makes FSP1 a novel target for anticancer therapy. Particularly in tumors with GPX4 inactivation or drug resistance, targeted inhibition of FSP1 can synergistically induce ferroptosis. At present, the development of FSP1 inhibitors and their combination therapy with ferroptosis inducers have become a research hotspot in the field of tumor therapy.
The FSP1 Inhibitor Assay Kit is used to detect FSP1 inhibitor activity based on a fluorescence method. Through the enzymatic reaction of a specific substrate, it accurately measures the inhibition efficiency. It features high sensitivity, simple operation, and high-throughput compatibility, making it suitable for the screening of FSP1 inhibitors.
Components
The components and specifications of the FSP1 Inhibitor Assay Kit are as follows:
Guidelines
1)After first use, the reagents should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C or below, protected from light to ensure reagent stability.
2)Organic solvents used for dissolving inhibitors may affect the reaction signal. It is recommended that the final concentration of DMSO be ≤ 5%, DMF ≤ 1%, and methanol or ethanol ≤ 1%.
3)Mixing different batches is not recommended. Do not alter the dosage of reaction reagents without prior validation.
4)Mixing different batches is not recommended. Do not alter the dosage of reaction reagents without prior validation.
