Flow cytometric analysis of Mouse CD2 expression on BALB/c mouse splenocytes. BALB/c mouse splenocytes were stained with either FITC Rat IgG2b, κ Isotype Control (Black line histogram) or SDT FITC Rat Anti-Mouse CD2 Antibody (Red line histogram) at 5μl/test, cells without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Blue line histogram) was used as unlabelled control. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using BD FACSymphony™ A1 and FlowJo™ software.

Background
CD2, also known as the T-cell rosette receptor or LFA-2, is a type I membrane protein predominantly expressed on thymocytes and mature T cells. It functions as an adhesion molecule that binds to CD58 (LFA-3) on antigen-presenting cells (APCs), facilitating T-cell receptor (TCR) binding and signal transduction, which is crucial for T-cell activation and immune responses.
