Background
Human PSA, or Prostate-Specific Antigen, is a protein enzyme produced primarily by the cells of the prostate gland. Its primary biological function is to liquefy semen following ejaculation, which is crucial for sperm mobility and fertility. While most PSA is found in seminal fluid, a very small amount naturally leaks into the bloodstream. Measuring this serum PSA level through a blood test is a common tool for screening and monitoring prostate health. Elevated levels in the blood can indicate various conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostatitis, or prostate cancer. It is important to note that PSA is not a perfect test for cancer, as levels can be raised by non-cancerous causes. Therefore, it is used alongside other diagnostic measures, such as the free PSA ratio, digital rectal exams, and imaging, to guide clinical decisions.

Linearity
The concentrations of Human PSA were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
Sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human serum was 2 fold dilution (50%). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 748.94 pg/mL in human serum.
Linearity
The concentrations of Human PSA were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
Sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human plasma was 2 fold dilution (50%). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 1543.82 pg/mL in human plasma.
Linearity
The concentrations of Human PSA were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
Sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Monkey serum was 2 fold dilution (50%). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 2739.48 pg/mL in Monkey serum.
To assess the linearity of the assay, sample was spiked with high concentrations of Human PSA in various matrices and diluted with the appropriate Calibrator Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.
To assess the linearity of the assay, two samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human PSA in various matrices and diluted with the appropriate Calibrator Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.
