Background
Human CCL26, also known as Eotaxin-3, is a ~8 kDa CC chemokine encoded by the SCYA26 gene on chromosome 7q11.23. It is primarily produced by cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and, to a lesser extent, by fibroblasts and bronchial epithelial cells. CCL26 exerts its biological effects by binding and signaling predominantly through the chemokine receptor CCR3, a receptor highly expressed on eosinophils, basophils, and a subset of T-helper 2 (Th2) lymphocytes. Consequently, its principal function is the selective recruitment and activation of these leukocytes, positioning it as a critical mediator in the pathogenesis of allergic inflammation. CCL26 is notably upregulated in various atopic diseases, such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, and allergic rhinitis, and its expression is strongly induced by the key Th2 cytokines interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13). Due to its specific receptor interaction and induction profile, CCL26 is considered a significant biomarker and a potential therapeutic target for modulating eosinophil-driven inflammatory responses.

Linearity
The concentrations of Human CCL26 were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
Sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) stimulated with 100 ng/mL of recombinant human lL-4 for 24 hours (100%). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 126.71 pg/mL in stimulated Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).
