Background
Chemokines are a class of cytokines that can cause cells to undergo
chemotactic movement, and their main role in the body is in chemotactic cell
migration. They are widely expressed in various tissues and cells of the body,
and their receptors are mainly expressed in white blood cells, mediating the
directional migration of white blood cells to play a biological role. CCL3, one
of the components of the chemokinep CC ligand family was also termed as MIP
(macrophage inflammatory protein). It can be expressed on the surface of
macrophages, lymphocytes, epithelial cells, and other cells. It mediates the
secretion of cytokines by immune cells and promotes the aggregation and
migration of a variety of cells. C-C motif chemokine receptor 1 (CCR1) and CCR5
are the receptors of CCL3.C-C motif chemokine ligand 3 (CCL3) belongs to
inflammatory cell chemokine. CCL3 or macrophage
inflammatory protein-1α (MIP-1α), an important chemokine implicated in both
immune surveillance and tolerance, has emerged as a prognostic biomarker in
both solid and hematological malignancies.
