Background
Aquaporin 5 (AQP5) is a member of the aquaporin family of proteins, which are known for their role in the transport of water and small solutes across cell membranes. AQP5 is highly conserved and plays a significant role in various biological functions throughout the human body. AQP5 is crucial for maintaining water homeostasis and has been implicated in several pathological conditions. It is abundantly expressed in different types of tumors, such as those in the respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems, and may serve as a prognostic biomarker to assess the aggressiveness of cancer. Research has suggested that AQP5 may enhance cancer cell proliferation, migration, and survival in a variety of malignancies.

Immunohistochemistry
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded mouse lung. Anti-Aquaporin 5/AQP5 antibody was used at 1/250 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IF staining protocol.
