Background
Phospho-EphA2 (Tyr588) is the EphA2 receptor tyrosine kinase autophosphorylated on Tyr588, a modification that stabilizes the active kinase conformation, amplifies downstream Ras/MAPK, PI3K/Akt, RhoA and Src signaling cascades governing cell–cell repulsion, migration, invasion, anchorage-independent growth and angiogenesis, and thereby serves as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target in aggressive cancers.
