T cells (T Lymphocytes) are central effector cells of the adaptive immune system.
Natural Killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes that play a significant role in the innate immune system. They can directly kill virus - infected cells, tumor cells, and other abnormal cells without prior antigen stimulation, serving a critical role in immune surveillance and defense.
Natural Killer T (NKT) cells are a unique subset of T lymphocytes that share characteristics of both T cells and NK cells.
