After transfer, briefly rinse the membrane 1–2 times with wash buffer.
Drain the membrane briefly, then place it in a container and add enough Fast Blocking Buffer to cover the membrane.
Place the container on an orbital shaker and incubate at room temperature (25°C) with gentle agitation for 10 min (blocking time may be adjusted as needed).
After blocking, rinse the membrane 1–2 times with wash buffer before proceeding to primary antibody incubation.

Background
This ready-to-use, rapid, high-performance Western blocking buffer is designed specifically for fast and efficient blocking of Western blot transfer membranes. Its protein-free formulation prevents nonspecific binding between antibodies and the blocking reagent, thereby minimizing background. It contains no endogenous phosphoproteins or biotin and therefore does not interfere with phospho-specific antibodies or biotin-based detection. Blocking requires only 10–15 min, simplifying the Western blot workflow.
Note: No blocking reagent is suitable for all antigen–antibody detection systems. If this reagent is not compatible with a particular antibody, replace it with another type of blocking reagent, such as BSA or non-fat dry milk.
