Background
TUBA1A (Tubulin Alpha 1A) is a neuron-specific alpha-tubulin isotype that serves as a fundamental building block of microtubules in the central nervous system. It is highly expressed in the developing brain and is critical for essential processes like neuronal migration, axon guidance, and cortical organization. Clinically, heterozygous missense mutations in the TUBA1A gene are a well-established cause of a spectrum of severe neurodevelopmental disorders known as tubulinopathies, which include lissencephaly, pachygyria, and polymicrogyria.

Immunohistochemistry
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma. Anti-TUBA1A antibody was used at 1/50 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
