Background
TNF-R2, or Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor 2 (also known as CD120b), is a membrane-bound receptor primarily expressed on immune and endothelial cells. It binds to TNF-alpha, a key inflammatory cytokine, but transmits different signals than the related TNF-R1. TNF-R2 activation generally promotes cell survival, proliferation, and immunoregulatory functions.
