Product Description

Sandwich TR-FRET immunoassay for the quantitative measurement of human IL-8 (CXCL8; CGP-1; NAP-1) in cell culture supernatants. The kit does not include a recombinant human IL-8 standard, which must be purchased separately from ProSpec (catalog number CHM-327). A detailed assay protocol and full assay validation can be found in the Technical Data Sheet.

Key features and benefits:

  • Homogeneous: no wash, easy and rapid protocol
  • High sensitivity (15 µL sample), specificity, robustness, and reproducibility
  • High-quality antibody pairs ensure lot-to-lot consistency
  • Reliable: rigorous development, validation, and quality control testing
  • Cost-effective: 5 flexible formats; larger quantities available upon request

THUNDER Human IL-8 assay
A head-to-head benchmark comparison of the THUNDER Human IL-8 assay (red curve above) and a competitor TR-FRET Human IL-8 assay (blue curve on the right) was conducted. Standard curves were run using the corresponding reagents and protocols.
Competitor Human IL-8 assay
The THUNDER assay exhibits a comparable dynamic range and S/B ratio to the Competitor assay. In addition, both assays require the same incubation time (1 hour).
Parallelism with PBMC cells
Supernatants from PBMC cells treated for two days with LPS and IL-2 were serially diluted with culture medium and assayed for IL-8. Recovery values between 97-115% of the 4-fold diluted sample demonstrate assay parallelism.
