Background

SEC23B, also known as Sec23 homolog B, is a crucial component of the coat protein complex II (COPII), which is involved in the transport of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus. This gene plays a significant role in cellular processes such as autophagy regulation and cell migration. Recent studies have shown that SEC23B can induce autophagy in breast cancer cells by inhibiting the ERK/mTOR signaling pathway, thereby promoting cancer cell metastasis. Additionally, SEC23B has been implicated in various cancers, including thyroid cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and prostate cancer, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target.

Immunocytochemistry

Goat polyclonal Antibody to Rabbit IgG - H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) was used as secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution. The cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Triton X-100. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
