Background
SCTR (Secretin Receptor) is a G protein-coupled receptor encoded by the SCTR gene that binds the hormone secretin. It plays a crucial role in regulating the pH of the duodenum by inhibiting gastric acid secretion and stimulating pancreatic bicarbonate production. Additionally, SCTR is involved in diet-induced thermogenesis via brown fat activation, renal water homeostasis, and synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system.

Immunohistochemistry
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded mouse colon. Anti-SCTR antibody was used at 1/200 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Mouse & Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
Negative control: IHC shows negative staining in paraffin-embedded mouse skeletal muscle.
