Background

Mouse ICOSL (Inducible T-cell Costimulator Ligand), also known as CD275, is a 40 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the B7 family of immune regulatory molecules . It is the ligand for ICOS (CD278) expressed on activated T cells. The interaction between ICOSL and ICOS delivers a potent costimulatory signal essential for T-cell proliferation, cytokine secretion, and T-helper cell differentiation . Additionally, this pathway induces B-cell proliferation and differentiation into plasma cells, playing a critical role in humoral immunity . In mice, ICOSL is predominantly expressed on antigen-presenting cells, including splenic B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages . The mouse Icosl gene is located on chromosome 10 and shares significant homology with its human counterpart .
