Background

CD62L, also known as L-selectin, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the selectin family of adhesion molecules, primarily expressed on the surface of leukocytes, including T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells. It plays a crucial role in leukocyte homing and migration, facilitating the initial adhesion and rolling of white blood cells on endothelial cells, particularly in lymph nodes and inflamed tissues. CD62L is also a phenotypic marker for central memory T cells, which have a higher expression of this molecule and can rapidly respond to antigen re-exposure. In addition to its role in immune response and memory, CD62L has potential applications in cancer immunotherapy, where its regulation can enhance T cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment and improve treatment outcomes.

Flow cytometric analysis of human PBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cells) labelling Mouse Anti-Human CD62L antibody at 1/200 dilution (1 μg) / (right panel) compared with a Mouse IgG2a, κ Isotype Control / (left panel). Goat Anti-Mouse IgG Alexa Fluor® 488 was used as the secondary antibody. Then cells were stained with CD4 - Brilliant Violet 421™ antibody separately. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using Agilent NovoCyte Quanteon and FlowJo™ software.
