Background
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) in monkeys is a class of antibodies that plays a central role in allergic responses and defense against parasitic infections, closely resembling its human counterpart in both structure and function. Like human IgE, monkey IgE binds to high-affinity receptors (FcεRI) on mast cells and basophils; when cross-linked by allergens or parasite antigens, it triggers the release of inflammatory mediators such as histamine and leukotrienes, leading to typical allergic symptoms like itching, swelling, and bronchoconstriction. Due to the phylogenetic and immunological proximity between monkeys (especially macaques) and humans, monkey IgE is a valuable tool in biomedical research, enabling the study of human allergic diseases, asthma, anaphylaxis, and the testing of anti-allergic drugs or vaccine-induced immune responses, while also helping to manage allergic conditions in laboratory primates.

Linearity
The concentrations of Monkey IgE were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
#1 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Male monkey serum was 2fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 2451.12 ng/mL in male monkey serum.
#2 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Female monkey serum was 4fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 3027.71 ng/mL in female monkey serum.
#3 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human serum was 2fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 596.94 ng/mL in human serum.
