Background
Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses and inflammation. It is primarily produced by macrophages, but can also be synthesized by other cell types including monocytes, neutrophils, and T cells.
