Background
Human Prealbumin, now more commonly referred to as Transthyretin (TTR), is a transport protein primarily synthesized in the liver and the choroid plexus of the brain. It serves two major physiological functions: transporting thyroxine (T4) and forming a complex with retinol-binding protein to carry vitamin A. Notably, it has a short half-life of approximately 2 days, making it a highly sensitive and early indicator of acute nutritional status and systemic inflammation, often measured clinically to assess malnutrition, particularly in conditions like cirrhosis, inflammation, or critical illness. Additionally, certain genetic mutations in the TTR gene can lead to its misfolding and aggregation, resulting in hereditary amyloidosis, a serious disease where amyloid fibrils accumulate in tissues such as the heart and nerves.

Linearity
The concentrations of Human Prealbumin were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
#1 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human serum was 2.5×10^5fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 238.65 ug/mL in human serum.
#2 sample is undiluted samples are as follows: Human Plasma was 4×10^5fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 251.55 ug/mL in human plasma.
Linearity
The concentrations of Human Prealbumin were measured and interpolated from the target standard curves and corrected for sample dilution.
The sample is undiluted samples are as follows: HepG2 supernatant was 200fold dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted. The mean target concentration was determined to be 114.82 ng/mL in HepG2 supernatant.
Specificity
Test the specificity of different serum.
