Background
Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a pleiotropic cytokine critical for the development, survival, and activation of innate and adaptive immune cells. Structurally, IL-15 is a four-α-helix bundle cytokine belonging to the common γ-chain (γc) family. It exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms, stabilized by disulfide bonds between conserved cysteine residues. The functional IL-15 protein typically forms a heterotrimeric complex with the IL-15 receptor α-chain (IL-15Rα) and the shared β/γc chains, enabling high-affinity signaling. Post-translational modifications, including glycosylation at specific asparagine residues, enhance its stability and modulate receptor binding dynamics. This kit’s streamlined protocol and robust performance make it an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians seeking reliable IL-15 quantification in time-sensitive or resource-limited settings.

ELISA
To assess the linearity of the assay, two samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human IL-15 in various matrices and diluted with the appropriate Calibrator Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.
