Background

DCAF8 (DDB1- and CUL4-associated factor 8), also known as WDR42A, is a WD40-repeat β-propeller protein that serves as a substrate receptor for the CUL4-DDB1-ROC1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, thereby directing ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of specific targets to regulate cell-cycle progression, DNA-damage response, transcription, spermatogenesis and muscle atrophy, and its dysfunction is linked to male infertility, hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy with giant axons, and cancer.

Immunocytochemistry

Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Counterstain with tubulin (Red).
