Background
Cyclin E1 is a regulatory subunit of the cyclin-dependent kinase Cdk2 that drives the G1-S phase transition by phosphorylating substrates such as the retinoblastoma protein, thereby releasing E2F transcription factors and committing cells to DNA replication; its expression peaks in late G1, is tightly controlled by ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis, and is frequently amplified or overexpressed in cancers, leading to genomic instability and aggressive tumor behavior.

Immunohistochemistry
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded human placenta. Anti-Cyclin E1 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Rabbit IgG (ready to use). Counterstained with hematoxylin. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9.0 was performed before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded human bladder cancer.
IHC shows positive staining in paraffin-embedded human colon cancer. Anti-Cyclin E1 antibody was used at 1/500 dilution, followed by a HRP Polymer for Rabbit IgG (ready to use).
