Background

Cynomolgus macaque (Macaca fascicularis) CD3E protein is a key signaling subunit of the T cell receptor (TCR)-CD3 complex, encoded by the CD3E gene (Gene ID: 102133065) with UniProt accession Q95LI5. Together with CD3D, CD3G, and CD3Z, it forms the invariant signaling module of the TCR-CD3 complex, responsible for transducing antigen recognition signals into the T cell interior.

Expression and Structural Features: The ectodomain of cynomolgus CD3E corresponds to the Gln22-Asp117 region. When the recombinant ectodomain fragment (Gln22-Asp117) is produced in the Expi293 expression system, its apparent molecular weight (43-48 kDa) is typically higher than the calculated value (36.9 kDa) due to glycosylation modifications.
