CD205 His Tag Protein, Cynomolgus

CD205 (also known as DEC-205/LY75) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the macrophage mannose receptor family. Structurally, it comprises an N-terminal cysteine-rich domain, a fibronectin type II domain, and ten C-type lectin-like domains; cryo-electron microscopy has revealed that its monomer forms two mutually interdigitated lectin rings and exhibits pH-dependent conformational changes associated with oligomerization. Functionally, CD205 serves as a prototypical endocytic receptor on dendritic cells, rapidly internalizing antigens and directing them to specialized antigen-processing compartments, thereby participating in cross-presentation and the recognition of apoptotic/necrotic cells. Clinically, CD205 is highly expressed in various solid tumors (such as triple-negative breast cancer and pancreatic cancer) and lymphomas, making it an active target for antibody-drug conjugates (e.g., MEN1309/OBT076); its antigen-delivery capacity has also been exploited in the development of tolerogenic vaccine strategies.
