Flow cytometric analysis of Human CD197 expression on Human PBMC (human peripheral blood mononuclear cells). Human PBMC were stained with Brilliant Violet 421™ Mouse Anti-Human CD3 Antibody and either Biotin Mouse IgG2a, κ Isotype Control (Left panel) or SDT Biotin Mouse Anti-Human CD197 Antibody (Right panel) at 5 μl/test followed by Sav-iFluor 488. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using BD FACSymphony™ A1 and FlowJo™ software.

Background
CD197, also known as CCR7 (C-C motif chemokine receptor 7) or BLR2, is a G protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in immune cell migration and function. It is expressed on activated T cells, B cells, and dendritic cells, and is significantly upregulated in B cells following Epstein-Barr virus infection. CD197 binds chemokines such as CCL19 and CCL21, mediating the migration of memory T cells to lymph nodes and the maturation of dendritic cells. It also serves as a biomarker for certain immune responses and is involved in the regulation of T cell homeostasis and chronic inflammation.
