Flow cytometric analysis of mouse CD182 expression on C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow. C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow were stained with Pacific blue™ Rat Anti-Mouse Ly6G/Ly6C Antibody and either Biotin Rat IgG2a, k Isotype Control (left panel) or SDT Biotin Rat Anti-Mouse CD182 Antibody (right panel) at 2 μl/test followed by Sav-PE. Total viable cells, as determined by Fixable Viability Dye 515 (S0D0013), were used for analysis. Flow cytometry and data analysis were performed using Agilent NovoCyte Quanteon and FlowJo™ software.

Background
CD182, also known as CXCR2 or IL-8 receptor beta, is a 67-70 kDa member of the G-protein-coupled receptor family with seven transmembrane regions. It is expressed on various cell types, including neutrophils, natural killer cells, T cell subsets, monocytes, endothelial cells, and others. CD182 plays a crucial role in mediating chemotaxis, cell activation, proliferation, and angiogenesis. It binds to chemokines such as IL-8, NAP-2, GCP-2, and GRO-alpha, -beta, and -gamma, which induce these biological effects. This receptor is also involved in neutrophil migration to sites of inflammation and is essential for the positioning of oligodendrocyte precursors in the developing spinal cord.
