A Comprehensive Overview of Neuronal Cell Markers

Nerve cells are mainly divided into two major categories: neurons and glial cells.
Neurons: These are the most basic structural and functional units of the nervous system. They are the electrically excitable cells in the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS), capable of transmitting and receiving electrical impulses and neurochemical signals to process information.
